I recently helped my best friend, Crystal, celebrate her 20th birthday. For years she had been wanting a rainbow scarf. I figured what a better present. A homemade scarf. This project took me about two weeks but for a more experienced crocheter or someone with more time it would probably take 1-2 days.
************************************************************************************
For this project I used the Tunisian stitch or Afghan stitch as I have heard some people call it.
I used Red Heart brand colors:
A:Cherry Red
B:Pumpkin
C:Bright Yellow
D:Spring Green
E:Soft Navy
F:Claret
You should be sure to know these abbreviations:
CH:chain
DC: double crochet
I used a size H hook, but you can use any size you like. If I were to redo the scarf I would probably go up to a size I to make it a little less tight.

STEPS
Step 1: Using color 1, CH as many as you would like it to be thick. I chained 20.
Step 2:As if you are going to DC in the next row. you should yarn over and insert hook into second space from the hook.
Step 3:complete the first step of the DC leaving two loops still on the hook
Step 4: repeat steps 2&3 for very CH stitch every time leaving a loop still on the hook
Step 5: you should now have many loops on your hook. now yarn over and pull through the first loop
Step 6: yarn over again and pull through the first two loops repeat for the rest of the row.
Step 7:Yarn over and put hook into the loop in the space
Step 8: repeat step 7 for the rest of the row
Step 9: repeat steps 6-8 for as long as you want the section
when you switch colors connect it between step 6&7.
